St Catherine's College is a leading university residential college founded in 1946 as an independent, secular college affiliated with the University of Western Australia. It is a selective, co-educational living and learning environment for 400 students from a diverse range of backgrounds, both local and overseas, undergraduate and postgraduate. St Catherine's focuses on the development of the whole person, providing a highly personalised experience that prepares students to take their place as global citizens. Our core values are Integrity, Diversity, Courage and Leadership. Innovation: Through its flagship innovation program, Bloom, students of the College and young people from across all five universities and outside of tertiary education are encouraged to embrace thinking about their future in a different way. Bloom runs workshops, seminars and social events aimed at supporting young people to start something - to take an idea, prototype or business along the entrepreneurial journey of learning, failure, more learning and success in its many forms. Over 100 young entrepreneurs work from Bloom and thousands of students participate in seminars and workshops per year. Indigenous Access: St Catherine’s runs a dedicated Indigenous access program, Dandjoo Darbalung, that has a proven track record in improving the retention rate and educational outcomes of Indigenous students undertaking higher education. The Dandjoo Darbalung program is also a cross-cultural awareness program to foster a better understanding of Indigenous history in Australia and engage Indigenous and non-Indigenous students in a shared commitment to equal opportunities for all Australians. For international and local students alike, this programs often provides a unique cultural learning opportunity. St Catherine's is a college without borders, providing our students with opportunities to apply their learning and make a difference in the wider community throughout their degree.
