The mission, duty, and purpose of the Starfish Prosthetics Foundation is to improve the quality of life for those who have experienced loss of upper extremity function as the result of amputation, spinal cord injury, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, stroke, multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative conditions by supporting and encouraging medical and scientific research in this area and providing free prosthetic devices to such individuals. The Starfish Prosthetics is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization.
