Prelude to a Cure is a non-profit organization dedicated to lung cancer research, one note at a time. By connecting musicians, cancer research centers and hospitals, Prelude To A Cure hopes to assist in not only finding new screening methods to detect lung cancer before it spreads, but to help find a cure. Each year, more people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined. The five year survival rate for lung cancer is 16%–for smokers and non-smokers. With your help, we can break through the negative stigma of lung cancer. Lung cancer patients desperately need improved screening methods for early detection, more effective treatments and a cure. Sadly, non-smoking lung cancer patients also suffer the negative stigma and, as a result, the consequences of inadequate screening and treatments.
