Hidrostal pumps were successfully introduced into the German market in the late 1960’s. Previously sold via a distributor, the very first of the Hidrostal sales divisions, Hidrostal GmbH, was founded in 1978 in order to further develop the German market. Originally located in Ulm in the South of the country, the business later expanded into both the central and eastern regions with the opening of a dependent subsidiary near Borna. This division later became an independent enterprise under the name of Hidrostal Pumpenbau GmbH.
