What is Dingbats*? Dingbats* is an eco-friendly brand of stationery designed and developed in a masterful consideration of materials and design. Dingbats* are hand-made notebooks with personality represented by minimalistic ornamental motifs with sound environmental credentials. All materials used are biodegradable, vegan and recyclable. Environmental Credentials: -All materials we use are non-animal based and hence 100% vegan. No animals were sacrificed in the making of our notebooks. -We make sure that there are no nasty stuff in our notebooks – even the water used to produce the paper is returned to the rivers cleaner than when it was taken out. We use biodegradable and recyclable materials and certified paper only. -One of the most common disposal technologies in the world is landfill, which is why our covering material is engineered to be biodegradable faux leather. Other notebook manufacturers use PVC, the most toxic plastic. Our notebooks are bio safe because we enjoy being part of nature and the material we use are manufactured in green factories where water and air emissions are strictly controlled. Story: Dingbats* are produced by the oldest established company in Lebanon, Société Kamel Bekdache et Fils SAL (SKB). SKB is a privately held family business established in 1800 reaching its fifth generation. It is the first company in the entire region to attain the ISO 9001:2020 qualification, trading and converting high quality paper and board, while serving 1130 clients located in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. Since 2011, SKB began manufacturing notebooks and is now the proud manufacturer of Dingbats*.
