The Patient and Family Centered Care Innovation Center opened in 2006 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Its mission is the continual refinement and dissemination, nationally and internationally, of the PFCC Methodology and Practice -- a simple six-step approach for viewing all care through the eyes of patients and families and closing the gaps between current and ideal states of care delivery.
