We work to create peaceful communities and achieve a world culture of peace. We believe the common language of beauty and knowledge is the foundation for developing a world culture of peace, and we envision a compassionate world where a heartfelt understanding of the human condition dissolves judgement and opens the way for acceptance. Through art, science, and philosophy, we learn to transcend the boundaries of nationality, race, religion and gender, meeting each other as fellow humans in a world enriched by our cultural diversity. We offer experiential programs, including LifeSchool and Community Projects, that promote peaceful communities and cultivate the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, the Center for Peace through Culture’s annual Banner of Peace Award recognizes visionary individuals and organizations making outstanding contributions to creating a culture of peace in their communities and around the world.
