The Manhattan Community Boathouse is a nonprofit organization that provides free kayaking from two locations on the Hudson River, the Pier 96 Boathouse in Hudson River Park and a dock at 72nd Street in Riverside Park. These programs offer free on-water recreation from mid-May to mid-October, and are operated entirely by volunteers with a deep appreciation for the benefits of public access to the waterfront.
