We are passionate about making allergen immunotherapy available to more pet owners. RESPIT, regionally-specific immunotherapy, are allergen mixtures designed to desensitize dogs and cats with atopic dermatitis ("allergies") to the most important and common allergens (pollens, mites, and molds) so that they don't have to continue a life-long treatment with harmful cortisone or expensive drugs. Serum allergy tests in dogs have been found to be unreliable, but are still widely used as a basis for formulating customized immunotherapy prescriptions. RESPIT affords veterinarians a practical means of prescribing immunotherapy, the only treatment that can cure dogs and cats of allergies, based on their regional allergens, rather than unreliable but expensive tests. Pet owner can put their resources towards the treatment rather than tests of dubious value. RESPIT was developed by a board-certified veterinary dermatologist, and is now prescribed throughout the United States by general practitioners and other veterinary dermatologists. The injectable and oral formulations are manufactured in USDA-licensed facilities.
