Love Struck was born in 2004 when the founder, Richard Canterbury met a like-minded business partner and started work at her smoothie stall in Borough market. People queued for ages for one of his smoothies and he started to realise that he was really on to something. Having then received an offer to build a smoothie bar in the new £1m reception at Saatchi & Saatchi, the business launched at the end of August and was an immediate success. Love Smoothies was born! Since 2010 we have grown rapidly and we now supply over 5,000 customers in the UK including: Pret a Manger, Virgin Active, Ocado and Sainsbury’s and internationally we supply 25 markets such as: Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Scandinavia and Australia. We have been lucky enough to work with some fantastic people including Michelin-Starred chefs and great nutritionists, who’ve helped us develop our range of drinks, to include award-winning fruit teas, frappes and bone broth. At this point, it felt like the right time to rebrand the company so that all of our drinks fell under one brand – hence The Love Taste Company was born. It’s the same company, same ethos, just a different name. Not only are we committed to creating consistent, high-quality and convenient products, we also employ a ‘zero-waste mindset where the long-term environmental impacts of our products are thoroughly considered in our decision-making process. We are still just as focused on continual product innovation which is evidenced by our new product development, and we are continuing to focus on high-quality, healthy solutions to meet our ever-growing market.
