Established in 1955 by the Williams family, Weir & Carmichael originally started out selling hessian sacks to local businesses in Liverpool. Since then the business has expanded rapidly to include a wide range of packaging sacks and bags sold to many different manufacturing sectors throughout the UK. More recently, Weir & Carmichael have expanded in to the recycling sector and now have over 10 years experience supplying local authorities and the privatised waste sector with a complementary range of recycling containers and bags. Today we operate throughout the UK with a customer base of over 1000 including many local authorities, and have a long established reputation for quality and customer care. In 2010 we moved to larger premises and now have over 40,000 sq feet of storage space within our head office in Bootle. We are both ISO9001 and ISO14000 accredited and have an excellent reputation based on our ability to consistently provide the best service and products available. We are a dynamic and innovative company. Our philosophy is to work with customers to provide bespoke solutions to all their packaging and recycling needs. Our focus for the future is to continue to develop products which can bring cost effective solutions to both sectors.
