Finabel is an international organisation comprised of 24 Member States. It focuses on army-related issues and is the think-tank of the 24 Chiefs of Staff of its member states. It is dedicated to promoting interoperability between European land forces. Established by the Ministries of Defence of its founding members in 1953, Finabel has been entrusted by its member states with: - promoting and facilitating interoperability between the armies - harmonisation of concepts, doctrines and procedures - the development of a common European understanding of defence problems.
