The Star Trust is an East Midlands-based charity, run by local business owners and entrepreneurs, which supports smaller charities across the region. The charity is backed by a team of high-profile patrons including: Zoisa North-Bond Director at Octopus Energy, Tim Storer, joint managing director at Pukka Pies and Shuif Hussain, family office principal, global investment director and director at Stapleford Park. To date, the charity has donated £678,650 and supported 78 charities. The Star Trust pledge to donate all the money raised from its events to good causes. The committee is made up of local business men and women meaning the costs of running the charity are underwritten, therefore 100% of the profits go to the charities.
