www.theblockc.orgWorking since 2016, Brothers Liberating Our Communities (BLOC) has been working to increase the representation of Black Male Educators in schools. Less than 1% of teachers in Missouri are Black men, while the number of Black students continues to grow. Cultural and experiential relevance has positive impact on student achievement. A strong Black Male Educator pipeline and programs that retain Black Male Educators is necessary to positively changing the education landscape in the Kansas City Metro area.
