Andhra Pradesh Drought Mitigation Project (APDMP), an agricultural project funded by AP Government and IFAD, aims at improving the incomes and strengthen 165,000 farm households resilient to drought in five most drought prone areas in the districts of Andhra Pradesh— Ananthapuramu, Chittoor, Kurnool, Kadapa and Prakasam. The programme objective is to strengthen the adaptive capacity and productivity of agriculture in the rainfed areas of five districts in southern AP. The project aspires to achieve these objectives through 3 components: 1. Climate Resilient Production Systems, 2. Drought Proofing through NRM and Water Governance and 3. Management and Lesson Learning.
