FILMET was established in 1963 and was formerly know as a capacitors manufacturer. In 1971, FILMET abandoned the production of capacitors to start a new activity in high vacuum metallisation of technical films. Active only in the Italian market until 1988, the company expanded its reach to become a global player, following a renewal in the company's structure as well as in the production activities. By the end of 1990, the construction of the new plant in L'Aquila (Abruzzo) was completed. This investment allowed to increase production and improve quality levels. At present, FILMET can offer a wide range of metallized polypropylene and polyester film for application in electrical and electronic capacitors production. FILMET only uses top quality materials and ensures high mechanical and electrical performances, with excellent thermal and chemical qualities. The company's goal is to provide Customers with top quality metallized film, goal which is pursued through technological progress, innovative approaches to production management, quality control and price competitiveness. FILMET is certified with UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.
