Vikidia is a French encyclopedia project, wiki based, for 8 to 13 years old as readers but also as contributors. The site is independent of the Wikimedia Foundation, whose Wikipedia depend. It has been started in November of 2006 in French. The English version openend in February of 2014. Today, Vikidia exists in 13 languages: French, English, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian, Basque, Catalan, Sicilian, Greek, Armenian, Portuguese and Occitan.
