We promote people who live in Christian faith, act with a pronounced sense of responsibility for the common good and show excellent academic performance. The aim of the Cusanuswerk is to support these outstanding Catholic students and doctoral candidates in all fields of study and to enable them to make use of their talents and abilities in areas and positions, where the future of community will be decided: in the state, society and the family, science and the Church, business, culture and the media. We focus on our fellows’ individual development: courage, entrepreneurship and creativity, self-confidence and self-criticism, intellectual curiosity and intellectual autonomy, Christian spirituality and testimony of faith are encouraged and promoted. Our offer includes interdisciplinary seminars, a spiritual program and individual mentoring. Furthermore, we support our fellows and alumni in networking and strengthening each other in their personal development. We encounter each other with respect and trust, create spaces of freedom, and foster dialogue as well as cross-generational exchange.
