We are an organization for women that facilitates their exploration into Angel investing through education, support, partnerships and a network of investors and thought leaders. As a coalition of South Florida female business leaders passionate about harnessing the innovative power of women, we hope to create a more diverse investment community by supporting the growth of female investors. Women make up only about 25% of angel investors and 29% of the entrepreneurs that sought angel capital in 2015. Investors still favor male founders over their female counterparts. By reducing the barriers to entry for investing, and furthering their understanding of the investment climate, we can cultivate the next wave of female angel investors. It is time for women to understand the true power of their capital to green-light and validate new opportunities. Creating an environment for women investors to thrive is essential to the innovation and diversity of entrepreneurial success in South Florida. When women begin investing, even in small amounts they shift the world. By educating and supporting women as they make their first forays into angel investment, we will continue to push progress towards a more equitable world.
