Mon Hills Music Group is the body of two labels, Mon Hills Records and Go 1st Records. Associated with the West Virginia University College of Creative Arts & School of Music, Mon Hills is both fully self-funded and student-run. Our accomplishments: -Released over 25+ albums in past 6 years of existence -Artists are solely West Virginia Locals or WVU students -Created sister label Go 1st records in Fall 2020, signing 8 artists for brand-new compilation album series (Set to release in Spring 2021) -138,000 combined streams from all label-released tracks (Spotify) Our artists have been continuously featured in news outlets and publications both locally and nationwide, including: -Prerogative Magazine, Summit.FM, Alt Revue, The Daily Athenaeum, WVU Alumni Association, WBOY 12 News, The Journal, Armstrong's 'Music Talks' series, U92 FM, & more Our genres are a diverse range of local Appalachian Folk, Bluegrass, Rockabilly, Contemporary Christian, and Italian Opera to Queer Jazz Funk, Bedroom Pop, Broadway, Outlaw Country, and much more.
