Greg Kinnaird - Corporate Learning Solutions
www.corplearn.com.auBy the year 2030 there will be a radical transformation in the business world. Based on research conducted by Deloitte's and PwC this will be caused by two major factors. 1. Globalisation As technology becomes cheaper and more advanced, the ability to do business across the globe becomes easier for more organisations. This globalisation will naturally create engagement and inclusion challenges with more people working from home, in different timezones, with different cultures...etc. (We have already had a taste of that this year) 2. Changing Demographics At the same time we are seeing a change in workplace demographics as large numbers of the Baby Boomers retire leaving organisations with skills shortage gaps, particularly in the area of leadership. Because of this, developing new leaders and succession planning will become more important and recruiting and retaining talent will become more competitive than ever. There is a real risk that businesses could fail if people in the organisation don't transfer their knowledge and wisdom with each other. In the future these two factors will fundamentally be impacting an organisation's effectiveness and its ability to reach its goals. The current research shows that foundation leadership skills are in high demand and the core competencies that need to be urgently developed are: Business acumen Collaboration Global cultural agility Creativity Customer-centricity Influence and inspiration Building teams and talent My role is to work with medium and large organisations to develop the leadership capabilities of their people. I'm proud to be an associate consultant with: - Achieve + Forum - Aspire Performance Training - CPM Australia - CPP Asia Pacific - Insights - MindGym - Parcus Group - RogenSi (a TeleTech Company) - Spectra Training
