Desi Roots is an agriculture startup and a Farmer’s First Initiative. We are taking Organic farming to next level by working with group of farmers to promote Desi Seeds(heirloom Seeds) (no hybrid, No GMOs only pure traditional ancient seeds) and Desi traditional way of Farming. Our farmers are engaged in the production of Organic Grains, Veggies, and Milk and are located between the lush green forests of the Uttarakhand, Uttar Pardesh, and Haryana. To produce the best of organic food, we are using Traditional Desi and Exotic Seeds, as we know that this produce consists of the maximum nutritive value that our body requires in comparison to Hybrid and GM seeds. We are not only into the traditional non-chemical agronomic practices of farming, as we follow the Bio-dynamic system of agriculture (based on Planetary Movements). We use farm-made manure like cow dung compost, vermicompost, and farm-made bio-pesticides. We also follow traditional way of processing and extraction. E.g., we use traditional ancient system to extract the oil from Mustard seeds to keep maximum nutritive value of oil. We have set-up our own processing & packaging unit which is ISO certified for quality management. Our produce is procured straight from farm without any middlemen, enabling us to have better quality management throughout the supply chain.
