Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC)

www.corc.uk.net

The Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) is the UK’s leading membership organisation that collects and uses evidence to enable more effective child-centred support, services and systems to improve children and young people's mental health and wellbeing. Founded in 2002 by a group of mental health professionals determined to understand the impact of their work, today our members include mental health service providers, schools, professional bodies and research institutions from across Europe and beyond. We hold data relating to mental health and wellbeing outcomes of more than 400,000 children and young people in the UK, representing the largest data set of this kind worldwide. The work of the Consortium and its members is supported by a small team of experts in the fields of research, statistics, outcome measurement and service improvement. We provide a range of support for the collection, analysis and reporting of data and the use of data to improve services as well as training and knowledge-sharing opportunities for members and partner organisations in different regions across England. Together, the CORC team has a wealth of experience in conducting research and analysis, applying findings and bringing together theoretical knowledge and expertise from the frontline. Since September 2021, CORC merged with the Anna Freud Centre. Building on a long history of close working between the two organisations, we are confident that this consolidation will offer the best opportunities to both progress CORC’s mission - strengthening the meaningful use of evidence to improve child and youth mental health support, services and systems – and to provide our members with the most relevant and helpful support over the coming months and years.
