Posty's goal is to create a holistic approach to composting, specifically for those living in an urban environment. Unlike a composting service, Posty empowers people to compost on their own, without needing to outsource. That being said, we do provide information and resources on countertop composting if someone chooses to collect their food scraps and hand them off for composting. Our platform takes people through each step of the composting process, from identifying the best method based on personal preferences and environment, to weekly video guides and write-ups documenting progress, as well as providing next steps once the compost itself is finished. Posty features helpful literature, custom calculators (composting math can be surprisingly tricky!), and both original and shared news and opinion articles. Our resources are completely free. In addition, Posty features a line of merchandise as well as the Bucket List program, which recycles used 5-gallon, food-grade buckets and turns them into compost systems ideal for small to mid-scale composting. Each bucket comes with a month of hands-on support and troubleshooting from our team if needed.
