FRIENDS OF A1A SCENIC & HISTORIC COASTAL BYWAY, INC. is a 501(c)3 dedicated to the protection, preservation, promotion and enhancement of the A1A Coastal Corridor in St. Johns and Flagler counties of Florida. As a Florida Scenic Highway, National Scenic Byway, and Florida's 2nd All-American Road, the A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway is Florida's premier byway, with 72 miles of rich history, environmentally sensitive lands, recreation, beaches and culture unlike any other locale in the nation. With a focus on initiatives benefiting the community related to transportation, safety, tourism, economic development and outreach, the Friends of A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway was designated by the U.S. Department of Transportation in 2002, and proudly supports our local, state and federal partners with projects and programs for the betterment of our communities.
