The Center for Health and Social Policy (CHASP) is the home of social policy at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. It is comprised of a network of LBJ faculty, alumni, and students who are passionate about reducing social and health disparities in the U.S. and abroad. CHASP Focus Areas: • Ensuring success in early childhood • Building an educated and productive workforce • Creating healthy and safe communities • Using evidence to inform decision-making • Preparing the next generation of public policy leaders #LBJsocialpolicy includes issues connected to: poverty, social mobility, public education, criminal justice, juvenile justice, early childhood, child welfare, family supports, adolescent health, family structure, food insecurity, mental health, reproductive health, healthcare, health finance, aging, housing, and transportation.
