Kentucky Campus Compact
www.kycompact.orgKentucky Campus Compact (KyCC) was created in 2005 by a task force of Kentucky college and university presidents and has been housed at Northern Kentucky University since January 2006. KyCC is part of a National Campus Compact network with an office in Boston and 35 state and regional offices. Kentucky Campus Compact supports the distinctive civic work of each of its member campuses, while also striving to enhance collaboration, learning, and collective impact across our coalition. We do this through the following programs: 1) AmeriCorps Combating poverty and building capacity in Kentucky by placing AmeriCorps members in Kentucky high schools, member campuses, and nonprofit organizations. Kentucky Campus Compact host the College Coaches and TASK VISTA programs. 2) Dialogues Opportunities to bring community members together to talk about issues most important to them. 3) Events Both in-person and web-based professional development and networking events with civic and community engagement staff, community partners, faculty, presidents/chancellors, students, and other stakeholders 4) Initiatives Special projects that leverage funding and other resources to support members’ good work on high-priority issues
