Sterling was born in 1989 in a tiny office with only two people to cover the phones. The company ticked along for a few years until, one day, a young woman came into the office and mentioned that she was having problems insuring her modified VW. From that day on Sterling has never looked back, and is now a market leader in specialist car insurance, but still has a special relationship with Volkswagens. By working closely with insurers over the years and not being the type of company to rest on our laurels, we have used our knowledge to build insurance products based on our customers' needs. Fast forward to today and Sterling is still growing and now employs more than 200 staff at our office in Bishop's Stortford.
