The idea behind basing a machinery company dedicated to tropical fruits in the Italian Pianura Padana may seem a wild one. Indeed, when founder Romano Orsi moved from Parma to Brazil to open his own company almost four decades ago, he had a solid technical background but no fruit experience. After developing and successfully selling his business in Brazil, he and his family then founded the Italian branch of Tropical Food Machinery, thus beginning our story. Tropical Food Machinery’s market strategy is based on selling high quality, multi-fruit, multi-capability manufacturing plants tailored to the client’s needs. Every line is designed in-house then constructed and tested before every and each delivery: this verticalization of the productive process ensures a flexible although refined final product. A committed post-sales follow-up inclusive of technical and maintenance assistance on site, multi-level training and direct remote video assistance (SCADA) ensures perfect collaboration with the Buyer. The dual structure of the firm, with one factory in Busseto (Parma, Italy) and another one in Pouso Alegre (Minas Gerais, Brazil) ensure perfect coverage of the world market.
