We provide Jewish education for Jews of Color (JOCs) by Jews of Color. At Ammud, the term "JOC" is political and is used to build community and solidarity amongst folks who are non-white Jews (including Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews). We exist to empower Jewish people of color by providing community and personalized support, knowing that this grounding and attention creates the necessary conditions for a positive and profound educational experience. In doing so, Ammud allows JOCs to access the Jewish education needed to be empowered members and leaders of the broader Jewish community, creating space to celebrate marginalized customs and traditions and (re)build culture. Our programming is accessible online, allowing JOCs to connect globally and be in community.
