CityHope Disaster Relief was founded in August 2012 and is a Nonprofit organization registered in South Africa, but serving the world. We aim to respond to disaster situations through the provision of relief aid and disaster recovery. Our Mandate is simply to respond to any disaster situation that may occur as resources permit. To date CityHope has responded to 20 disasters, both nationally and internationally, with our most recent response being the Xenophobic Crisis in Durban. Countries we have worked in include, Mozambique, Malawi and Somalia. Our disaster response has ranged from Fires, Floods, Famines and Xenophobic Attacks CityHope’s strategy is unique, in that, we aim to partner with businesses, organizations and churches to facilitate the collection, storage and disbursement of relief aid and disaster management services. One hundred percent (100%) of all donations go directly to humanitarian aid!
