MISSION STATEMENT "Solidifying the independence of veterans and their caregivers in the community." WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO Our team is composed of veterans, spouses, some who are in active duty, health professionals, and volunteers dedicated to providing the resources needed to help disabled veterans and non-veteran incorporate themselves back into society. Through their life, career, and educational experience, our team members reflect the diversity that exists in the community. We provide several services and resources in areas such as Support (group/counseling referrals), Domestic Assistance (minor house maintenance, housekeeping, cooking, respite care, and meal preparation referrals), Financial Assistance (hardship, clothing and childcare vouchers, rental and mortgage, utilities, prescription co-pay, financial advisor assistance), Transportation (minor car repair and transportation assistance), Notary Public, and Job Referrals. A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER, Chandra Williams “Everyone handles trauma differently, but there’s two dilemmas shared by all the veterans that I’ve met: they don't get the appropriate help needed and they feel forgotten. Amazing Soldiers is about helping them fight the fight; we want them back in society as productive members once again. Adjustment to civilian life can be extremely difficult and I want to do as much I can to help our well-deserved veterans are not only taken care of, but also feel genuinely wanted and needed. I enjoy helping those who slipping through the cracks in social welfare programs currently established. It has helped me design programs and initiatives to help underserved populations. I look forward to ensuring that veterans and disabled adults in need of crucial services in the Katy/Houston area and guide them to available resources!"
