Strait Gold Corporation is a Canadian mineral exploration company active in Peru, one of the fastest growing mining areas in the world. Our focus is on gold, silver and copper in three active projects: Letra Rumi South, Culebrilla and Alicia. Our Alicia project (copper-gold) is located in Cusco Department approximately 500 km southeast of Lima, within the prolific Andahuaylas-Yauri porphyry copper and skarn belt, host to several world-class deposits including Las Bambas (900 million tonnes at 0.9% copper), Haquira (686 million tonnes at 0.5% copper), Los Chancas (355 million tonnes at 0.6% copper) and Tintaya (158 million tonnes at 1.2% copper and 0.16 g/t gold) among others. Our Letra Rumi South (copper-gold) and Culebrilla (gold-silver) projects are in Ancash Department about 325 km north of Lima, the same area of north-central Peru that hosts the Pierina gold mine (Barrick Corporation) and the Antamina base metals mine (BHP Billiton, TeckCominco, Xstrata Minerals and Mitsubishi).
