The California Disaster Mental Health Coalition (CDMHC) is a California-based, multidisciplinary, collaborative, disaster mental health coalition of organizations, established for coordination and information-sharing in the service of the delivery of disaster services. Since 2003 the California Disaster Mental Health Coalition (CDMHC) has been working together to improve Disaster Mental Health services across disciplines in a rapidly evolving field. We focus on ways to partner with Disaster Mental Health providers in the public and private sectors to help unite our communities. The Coalition collaborates with the State of California, most recently assisting in developing core competencies for Disaster Mental Health professionals. Together, we exchange information and remain updated on changes in the field of Disaster Mental Health. We design and implement methods to expand service delivery during disasters.
