Mission and Purpose: The purpose of the Kuwa Women’s Foundation (KWF) is to enable and empower African girls, African women and girls and women of African descent in the diaspora to develop careers in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business and Leadership (STEM, B & L), through educational and self-development opportunities. With the acute shortage of African girls and women in science and technology leadership roles, there is a critical need for developing and building a pipeline of talent for science and technology leadership in academia, research, business and other professional fields. In executing its mission, the Kuwa Women’s Foundation focuses on educational and professional development programs for girls and young women of African descent in the continent of Africa as well as in the Diaspora.
