Wythenshawe Community Initiative Ltd is a voluntary organisation based in Woodhouse Park and delivering services across Wythenshawe. The organisation was created by the hard work and determination of local residents who recognised a need for some sort of community support in the area. Over the last ten years the organisation has grown from strength to strength and we have been at the forefront of regeneration in the area, including playing a vital part in the development of the local SureStart programme and a new youth and sports facility - Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre. Throughout this we have continued to work to our aims of supporting local people to improve their lives, providing training, volunteering and employment opportunities to local people and working with other organisations. We provide a wide variety of activities and services for local children, young people and families with the aim of supporting them to improve their lives, whether it be through accessing relevant services, increasing confidence or self esteem or improving family realtionships. .
