Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College offers rigorous and meaningful education while empowering students to become agents of change in our community and global society, as well as providing our special needs population with postsecondary goals. Advanced programming includes junior internships, project-based learning, concentrated teacher and student wellness supports, job shadows, student portfolios/defenses and educational/community supports to best care for student and family needs. Students are expected to complete a minimum of 12 guaranteed-transfer and tuition-free credits while working toward completion of an associate’s degree or certificate by year 14. Middle school benefits from a 6-12 school by developing a solid academic foundation while being introduced to CareerConnect pathways and high school and college rigor.
