The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh serves its Greek Orthodox Christian parishes by producing youth and young adult programs, organizing clergy retreats, facilitating opportunities for the parishes to grow in Christ, and ultimately supporting the Orthodox Christians of this area in their efforts to become one with the Lord and to preach Him to the world we live in. This Metropolis (another name for a Christian diocese, or regional collection of parishes) consists of the Greek Orthodox Christian parishes and monasteries in West Virginia, Central and Eastern Ohio, and Pennsylvania (except greater Philadelphia).
