Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS) is a contractual joint venture between Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals, Frimley Health, Royal Berkshire, and Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts. BSPS is at the forefront of innovation and modernisation for Pathology in the UK, particularly with the development of cutting-edge POCT solutions, whilst maintaining the ethos and governance arrangements of a clinically led, responsive NHS Pathology Service. BSPS currently serves a population of approximately 3 million people, providing in excess of 30 million routine and specialist pathology tests per year to: • 4 acute NHS trusts • Over 300 GP practices, across six counties • Private Hospitals in Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and Greater London • Other NHS Trusts and the independent sector throughout England for specialist tests • NHS England for Bowel Cancer Screening for South of England
