Marathon Electric India Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Regal Beloit Corporation (RBC) which is a listed entity at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and having operations globally including India. The manufacturing facility at Faridabad, Haryana is a company-owned facility. This facility was established in 1965 as a joint venture between DLF and Universal Electric and was known by the name The American Universal Electric (India) Ltd. In 1995, GE became a JV partner with DLF and then in July 1998 acquired complete ownership of this facility. This was later acquired by RBC in January 2005.
