Funky Loos Ltd is a new marketing, advertising and dressing service focusing on using previously unused space at music, sporting and corporate events; the humble portaloo. We all see and use the lonely portaloo whilst attending events throughout the year in the UK, large music events such as Glastonbury Festival have over 4,500 portaloos onsite to accommodate for music revellers. We have all heard the horror stories of long queues of people waiting to do their business. Yet this space has gone unused up to now for anything other than its intended purpose. Here at Funky Loos we have a long background in all aspects of working in the outside events industry, from staging to fencing and trakway. We have worked alongside various portaloo companies and thought; why do they all look so bland? Events, be they music or sporting are full of branding for said event of complementary advertising. The humble portaloo is a staple of these events and can be a huge yet necessary eyesore. So why not make them look more appealing? We have developed a method using modern vinyl wrapping techniques to apply a temporary covering over portaloos to change their overall appearance. This in effect turns the humble portaloo into a static canvas for multiple applications.
