Since then, the foundation has grown to over 10 million members in over 47 countries. Tzu Chi's official motto highlights the concept of "four endeavours, eight footprints". The four major endeavours of Tzu Chi are Charity, Medicine, Education and Culture. In addition,, Tzu Chi's eight footprints consist of charity causes, medical contributions, educational development, humanities, international disaster assistance, bone-marrow donation, community volunteerism and environmental protection. Since its establishment in 1990, Tzu Chi Brisbane has worked to spread love and compassion throughout the local community.
