The main business of the Montanari Group is the production of gearboxes, gearless, safety devices and accessories for lifting systems. The headquarter (management and manufacturing) of the group is in Italy – Modena where 180 people are employed in an area of 40.000 sqm. All products are manufactured by the company and distributed in 80 countries all over the world. The story of the group starts in 1970 when Mr. Giulio Montanari and his wife founded the Montanari Giulio & C. The Technical Business Unit – R&D distinguishes for its capacity of developing highly customized designs able to fit even the most tailored needs. In the design and development process, special attention is paid to the efficiency, the energy saving and most important, the safety which is a priority for all the branches of the group. All machines are tested using high precision instruments and simulations are done in the 50 mt height testing tower located in Modena.
