TEDxDesMoines is devoted to giving a platform to those whose voices typically go unheard. These ideas worth sharing are meant to spur conversations, moving our community forward and providing new insights into our collective journey and challenges that we are facing. We are an independently organized TED event. The TED Conference has provided general guidance for our organization, but TEDxDesMoines is a self-organized, volunteer-run non-profit. It is an amazing opportunity to have local individuals' talents and passions unite for the common good. TEDx volunteers are individuals who embody responsibility, understanding, and passion for motivating others in learning and collaboration. TEDxDesMoines could not reach its potential without the donations from our local business partners and the over 50 volunteers that work year-round to create our annual conference. As well, we recognize the individuals who volunteer to share their ideas sparking meaningful dialogue and inspiring growth, innovation, and enrichment in our community.
