The Melbourne Men's Group Inc is a contemporary development organisation based on deep tradition. It was founded in 1998 with the recognition that bringing together ‘men in council’ is a fulcrum for powerful development and change. The Melbourne Men's Group Inc is a vehicle to support men in cultivating inner focus, to promote the journey within; and encourage expanded levels of self awareness, emotional intelligence and authenticity, which are a vital foundation for effective personal and people leadership. At a personal level, we promote re-integrating the head with the heart, seeking to unwind the cultural 'emotional straightjacket' most men are socialised within. We build meaningful community and authentic connections between men; we promote men’s personal growth toward balanced, mature masculinity.
