Originally built as an enterprise data center by three major corporations in 1999, it has been transformed under CDC’s ownership to accommodate power densities of up to ~1,000 W/sf with features rivaling those of the industry’s leading players, in line with the requirements of Tier 3 colocation data centers offering: redundant site infrastructure, multiple independent bandwidth paths, redundant power feeds, N+1 power plant configuration, 24x7x365 on-site security, monitoring, customer support, and service level guarantees at or exceeding 99.999%. In addition, the data center site offers customers compelling physical advantages including operating on the local power utility’s emergency grid, and being designated as major fiber node. Patented cooling technology employed by CDC reduces this data center’s PUE from 2.0+ to under 1.05.
