The Children’s Memorial Gardens are two private gardens set in two acres of land in the picturesque village of Longwick, Buckinghamshire. We are a registered charity that exists solely to support the bereaved families and friends of deceased or missing children. The gardens are due to be completed by 2022. Our mission is to: - Offer a special, private place for bereft families to seek solace and comfort over and above where their child has been laid to rest (if known) - Support families with their mental and physical welfare following the loss of their child - Educate families on child protection projects to reduce the number of deaths amongst children We will achieve this by: - Providing a peaceful, symbolic retreat for bereft families to cherish and remember their lost child - Raising awareness and knowledge of issues relating to child death, along with prevention measures - Providing high quality, compassionate support services free of charge to bereft families through our charity partner The Compassionate Friends UK Made up of two areas - the Four Seasons Garden and the Secret Orchard - these whimsical, tranquil spaces allow visitors to cherish their precious memories and grieve in peace, whilst feeling at one with nature. Anyone can use the gardens by appointment, regardless of their child’s age at the time of loss.
