The Friends are a vibrant not-for-profit membership-based organisation for people who love the RBGV, Melbourne Gardens and plants, and who want to support conservation and scientific research. Our Groups hold a large range of activities and events, helping to connect our Members and the wider community with the RBGV, Melbourne Gardens and plants while raising funds to support projects in the Gardens. The Friends have donated over $2.7 million towards projects in the RBGV, Melbourne Gardens and Herbarium.
