Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP) is a non-profit community based organization that has been providing social and human services to people facing poverty since 1965. We are dedicated to providing programming that meets community needs, that responds to the voices of the low-income community, and that demonstrates continuous quality improvement. Our mission guides all that we do: “To eliminate the causes of poverty by strengthening individuals, families, and communities through self-sufficiency initiatives in Douglas and Sarpy Counties.” These initiatives include employment assistance; emergency financial assistance; mental health and substance abuse treatment, including clinical training of UNO practicum students and interns; nutrition support; transportation; senior enrichment; and youth empowerment.
