Financial Navigation for your Business About Scott Heydt, founder/captain HeydtAir Music industry veteran and professional musician, Scott began his career as an accountant in the music business. First at Ernst & Young, followed by Atlantic Records and Provident Financial Management where he managed and developed small to medium-sized entertainment companies. As the VP of Finance for WEA, the music distribution division of Warner Music Group. Scott played a key role in helping WEA/WMG transform itself from a physical to digital music company. From 1999–2003 Scott was a guitarist and member of the RCA recording group the Sound of URCHIN, recording multiple releases and touring extensively in the US and Canada. Scott was integral in the development of deals for the group including a national Rolling Rock commercial for print and broadcast and performances and appearances on ESPN X-Games, NBC Gravity Games, Burly Bear Network, MTV2, and other music licensing deals. In 2004 Scott shifted his focus from the music industry to the advertising business and held the role of CFO at three different agencies. First at LBi (2004-2012), he helped transform and expand a single office $10m boutique agency into a multi-office $100m digital marketing and technology full service agency, which sold in 2012 to Publicis Groupe for $540m. After a brief stint at Tribal DDB Worldwide, Scott was recruited by Gary Vaynerchuk to be the first CFO of VaynerMedia. From 2013-2016 Scott partnered with founders Gary and AJ Vaynerchuk to build and scale their agency from a small $15m social media shop to a $100m full-service digital agency. With over 600% revenue growth from 2012 - 2016, VaynerMedia was named as one of the "Agencies to Watch 2017" on AdAge's A-List. In January 2017, Scott launched HeydtAir to bring all of this experience to help companies large and small to achieve their long term operational and financial goals.
